About Us

    We are a family operated business in New York. We opened our online store in Upstate New York in 1999.  Our customized tennis bags and accessories are manufactured and imprinted locally.

    The story begins with our patented design, a unique tennis ball holder that was developed when I was in high school many many years ago. My mother will tell you with a smile that she remembers the one that I had made and wore while she was teaching me to play tennis. What my mom didn't know was that I wanted to win, and by playing faster, I had figured out a way to keep her moving and give me a mental edge. With my invention, I was able to keep six or seven tennis balls with me, controlling the game's pace and my playing speed. My ball holder back then was similar to a carpenter's apron - the kind they used to wear to hold their nails - and to give it decoration I had hand stitched my name it. After a few years away from tennis, I began to play again when our daughter was in high school and learning to play. One day while watching her at practice, I remembered my tennis ball bag and how much it had helped me. Armed with our Tennispockets, we had twice as many balls available for play. Because we were spending less time chasing balls we were getting to play more in the same amount of time. I was also speeding up my playing reflexes which made me more competitive.

    Our first goal with the Tennispocket is to make the handling of many tennis balls an effortless task. Understandably, designing a ball holder that could hold six tennis balls would be a novel idea -  more than any other holder and lightweight enough to make carrying it barely noticeable. Our next goal is to make the Tennispocket special to each player who uses it.
